Absolutely! Camel riding is safe for beginners of all ages. Our camels are gentle, well-trained, and accustomed to first-time riders. Expert handlers walk alongside you throughout, and we provide comprehensive safety briefings before you mount.

Yes! Children of all ages can enjoy our camel riding experience. Children under 6 ride with a parent on the same camel. Ages 6-12 can ride their own camel with a handler walking alongside. It's a wonderful family experience!

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Long pants or trousers are recommended to protect your legs while riding. Closed shoes or strapped sandals are essential—no flip-flops. We provide traditional headscarves to keep as souvenirs!

The best times for camel riding are sunrise (5-8 AM) and sunset (4-7 PM) when temperatures are comfortable and lighting is magical. Winter months (November-February) offer perfect conditions all day. We don't operate midday rides in summer.

Both are magical! Sunrise offers cooler temperatures, peaceful solitude, and soft pink/golden light—ideal for photographers. Sunset is most popular, with dramatic orange skies and romantic ambiance. Sunset rides often include dinner options.

Yes, for camel welfare, we have a maximum weight limit of 100 kg (220 lbs) per rider. Guests over this limit can enjoy a camel cart experience or other desert activities. Children ride with parents within combined weight limits.

We generally advise against camel riding during pregnancy due to the rocking motion and potential sudden movements. However, early-stage pregnancy may be okay—please consult your doctor first and inform us when booking so we can accommodate you safely.

Getting on a camel is easier than you'd think! The camel kneels down, you swing your leg over the saddle, then hold on as the camel rises (back legs first, then front). Dismounting is the reverse. Our handlers guide you through every step!

Hotel pickup is included in most of our packages (Sunrise, Sunset, Safari, Private experiences). The basic Desert Camel Trek is meeting-point only. Pickup covers Dubai and Sharjah. Pickup from Abu Dhabi or other emirates can be arranged for an additional fee.

Elite Horizon offers free cancellation up to 24 hours before your experience. Cancellations within 24 hours may be subject to a 50% charge. No-shows are non-refundable. If we cancel due to weather (sandstorm), you receive a full refund or free rescheduling.

Adult riders (12+) ride their own camel—one person per camel. Children under 6 share a camel with a parent. Each camel is led by an experienced handler who walks alongside. In a caravan, camels walk in a line connected by leads.

Tipping is not required but is appreciated if you enjoyed your experience. A typical tip is AED 20-50 per handler. Our handlers work hard to ensure your safety and enjoyment, and tips go directly to them as a thank you for excellent service.
