How do you get on and off a camel?

How to mount and dismount a camel:

Mounting:

1. Camel kneels down (commanded by handler)
2. Stand next to the saddle
3. Swing your right leg over and sit in the saddle
4. Hold the front handle firmly
5. Handler commands camel to rise
6. Camel lifts back legs first—lean back!
7. Then front legs—lean forward!
8. You're up! It takes about 5 seconds

Dismounting:

1. Handler commands camel to kneel
2. Camel lowers front legs first—lean back!
3. Then back legs—lean forward!
4. Swing leg over and step off

Tips:

• Hold on firmly during rising/sitting
• Follow handler's 'lean back/forward' instructions
• It's fun—enjoy the ride up!
