We understand that mountain roads can make some people nervous. The Jebel Jais road was built recently to world-class standards. It's wide (mostly two lanes up, one down), smooth, and has solid safety barriers the entire way. It's not a narrow, cliff-edge dirt track. However, if you suffer from motion sickness, we recommend sitting in the front, taking medication beforehand, and letting the driver know—we'll take it extra slow and steady. Most guests find the views so distracting they forget to be nervous!
