Best Time to Visit
The best season is from October to April when the weather is pleasant. Summer trips (May-Sept) are possible as our vehicles and camp areas are well-equipped, but it will be hotter.
The Road Trip
We handle the driving. Pickup is usually between 2:30 PM - 3:00 PM. The drive to the desert is a great chance to see the outskirts of Dubai.

How far is the desert from Dubai city?
The trip from downtown Dubai to the Lahbab desert (where the high red dunes are) takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes. It is a scenic drive transitioning from skyscrapers to open sands.
Is this trip suitable for children?
Yes, a Desert Safari Trip is a fantastic family activity. Children love the sand and camel rides. However, for children under 3 years old, we recommend booking a private car so we can drive gently on the dunes or go directly to the camp.
What should I pack for the trip?
Pack light! Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and a camera. If you are visiting in winter (Nov-Mar), bring a light jacket as the desert gets chilly at night. Avoid carrying large luggage.
Do you provide transportation for the trip?
Yes, all our trip packages include round-trip transportation. We pick you up from your hotel or residence in a 4x4 Land Cruiser and drop you back at the end of the night.
